Laboratory

Laboratory tests are essential in assessing health, setting up a diagnosis and treatment. The normal values of each investigated parameter are written on the analysis report. Any abnormal result should be discussed with the physician who requested the analysis, as only he is able to interpret the results in a clinical context.

Free analyses

According to Law 95/2006, patients with health insurance have the right to a series of free paraclinical investigations, including laboratory analyses, in the limit of available funds. To qualify for free laboratory analyses at Dora Medicals, a patient must meet the following conditions:

  • To be insured at the Health Insurance House of Mureº county or at the OPSNAJ;
  • The GP or specialist physician who sends the patient should have a contract with one of the aforementioned insurance houses;
  • To present a properly completed physician referral.

Why laboratory analyses are not encumbered

Many patients fear that due to the high influx of applicants, their samples may be confused with other patients' samples. We'd like to make a brief presentation of the steps a patient and his/her sample goes through after entering the gate of Dora Medicals.

  1. The patient arrives with a physician referral and requests an analysis bulletin at the laboratory reception.
  2. The request receives a unique identification number in the form of a barcode.
  3. The barcode and the patient's name are printed on stickers in multiple copies.
  4. The patient reports to the collection room with the stickers.
  5. After the collection has been done, the stickers are put in front of the patient on the test tubes.

From this moment on no confusion can be made, as the automated analyzers send the results directly to the correct destination, being guided by the barcode on the test tubes.
